Double -chin vs Cleft-chin

I have gained weight since I starting working. Hence, here comes the double chin... the extra layer of flabby fat underneath your chin. Double chin is usually associated with obese people and consequently prosperous too. ;)

However, someone once asked me if a cleft chin is also considered a double chin. I knew it was different so I said no. When I think of cleft chin, Kirk Douglas comes to my mind. My mum had mentioned to me about his cleft chin when she watched Kirk Douglas acting as Spartacus long time back.
A cleft chin is more like a dimple on your chin. Why does it happen? According to Wikipedia, "The chin fissure follows the fissure in the lower jaw bone resulted from the incomplete fusion of the left and right halves of the jaw during the embryonal and fetal development. "
Actually, the cleft in the chin reminds me of a chocolate. The brown heart-shaped chocolate turned upside down with the sharp ends above. Then this chocolate reminds me of a butt. ;) But I'm not saying that people who have a cleft chin have a butt on their chins; just an image I am reminded off.
Basically, from the pictures, you would know people do not like having double chin to the extend some opt for facial surgery to remedy that.
However, if you have a cleft chin, it looks more like an added feature to your face, than a dent in the car. Just take look at some of the famous actors or artists with such a facial feature and judge for yourself. ;) John Meyer the American singer-songwriter.

Jason Lewis the actor

Tom Brady the American football quarterback.

Hello? I said look at his chin not his body!! ;)

My cousin calls the cleft chin a "butt chin", for obvious reasons, hahaha!

Interestingly, there aren't that many women considered to be attractive who have cleft chins (although I can think of a few). For some reason, it's seen as a masculine feature.

Ahhh you reminded me of something. I wanted to write about the "butt chin" too but forgot. No wonder my entry was so short this time. I'll edit it now. :)
