So I would have preferred the green pigs which people might not want, because they're so evil and mean for taking the birds' eggs.
But pigs are cute too!! :p
Hence, if you're really crazy about Angry birds and don't mind the cheap knock-off... go check out the garage sale in some of the forums around which are selling them. Mind you, since they're "hot items" now... it might be a little pricey for such plush toys but if your're a fan... it's nothing! Lol
Meanwhile, the birds are securedly arranged in my shelf to avoid unnecessary hostility in case they get angry and attack me... Hope they won't attack my other pink pigs in my shelf! Lol! If not imagine this..

My friend introduced me to this aps on her new Iphone last year whereby the aim of the game is to sling shot birds into green pigs in elaborate structure(to kill them). Why? Take a look at the trailer below to find out the history of the angry birds...
The clip shows three birds adoring their little nest of 3 eggs while at the background, 3 green pigs (one of them is a king presumely with the crown) eating grass and hating it.
The King pig spied the eggs and suddenly salivates at the thought of omelette and decides to steal the eggs when the birds silly enough got so angry over a mosquito touching their eggs. And there begins the vengence of the Angry Birds vs the pigs.
The aim of the game? In Angry Birds, players take control of a flock of birds that are attempting to retrieve eggs that have been stolen by a group of evil green pigs. (taken from wikipedia).
The birds come in 4 variation according to my own description.. lol :
1. The Red bird which goes "huaaa heee" when sling-shot into the target.(Power: Average)
2. The Blue bird which goes "thud tweeet" when activated and separates into 3 little birds (Power: Multiple targets)
3. The Yellow bird which tweets when activated and accelerates into the target (Power: Kinetic force)
4. The Black bird which goes "weee" when activated becomes a bomb. (Power: Explosive)
5. The White bird which goes "weee thud" when activated drops an egg bomb and flies away to safety. (Power: Drop grenade) - only bird which does not do kamikaze.
6. The Green bird when activated boomerangs into the target. (Power: Angled shot)
These different "ammo" is important to defeat the pigs especially when they have elaborate structure in timber, steel, stone and ice with helmet as armour from the vengence of the Angry birds. Lol
And when all fails, the players can always opt to buy the secret weapon known as the "Mighty Eagle". Watch it at play in the trailer below:
The craz of Angry birds can be seen with other clips: Angry Birds Peace Treaty, and references made about it. I was surprised to see the host, Neil Patrick Harris (better known as Doogie Howser MD) in the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards doing a demo of "Angry Birds" live. Real life pigs painted in green appeared on the stage and Neil was about to launch a real-life rooster into the pigs when the director voiced over and said "Listen, PETA called, we gotta shut this down."
Well, ironically, I don't even own an Iphone or an Ipod/ Ipad or the application itself and I'm hooked on it! So far, I've played occassionally on my friend's Iphone and one night, I've played few hours straight on my bro's Ipad. Hence, yes, it is fun, addictive and frustrating when you can't get the 3-stars-leveled but when you win, you'll shout a loud "Yes"! ;)

Looks like another game in Facebook has caught my fancy and my friend's...
I only discovered them playing a wee late so it's kind of far to play catch up with them. I'm only at 8000 plus points but CP is already 188,820 points!! (sigh how to beat that.. look a the picture below.. see how beautifully-landscaped his restaurant is...) But that doesn't stop me from trying! ;) It's a game whereby you open a restaurant with staff : cook, waiter & the newly-added-cleaner. (normally you hire yourself and your friends)
The goal of the game is to earn the highest points. To do so, you can decorate your restaurant anyway you like, increase your menu selection through collection of ingredient (given once a day plus a bonus if you answer the daily quiz correctly) and management of the staff. Mind you, your employee needs rest/food to replenish their energy.
Here are some snapshots from my restaurant. I was aiming for the cozy little restaurant but with my expansion (after you reach certain points- you get an upgrade: bigger restaurant or extra staff), it looks more like a 'rojak' of sorts. lol. Join me? ;)
When my friend mentioned "Spore", I thought he meant Singapore (shortform). Well, he actually wanted to recommend me a new game created by Maxis; the creator of the games: Sims.
What exactly is it? Take a look at its promotional video here below. I'll check it out later and see how it goes. When I try our this game, I'll review it a little. It just launch early this month anyway.
It sort of reminds me a little of the game Creatures I used to play. Cute creatures. There's an overview and review of creatures here.

. Looking at this video reminds me of the game. Its soft soothing background music and chatter of the Norns to each other. I remember making a number of baby norns.. so adorable. You can teach it to do things and say certain words. You can pet and spank it if it's naughty. I was so sad when Windows XP couldn't support my game anymore. :( I just found out there is an online version of it. Perhaps I'll try it out next week. :)

Beside all these, I also had birthday treats from many friends. Thank you all - my cell group celebrated my birthday with a sumptuous home cooked dishes and a homemade chocolate cake. Pictures not given to me yet; so I can't upload them here. Serene gave me an ice-cream treat and Uncle Eug a nice birthday lunch. :)

I was introduced to this word in the game Mousehunt. (Mind you, I am not an addict! But I have a friend who is still hooked to this game and is waiting for Mousehunt 2.0)
Hence, I was browsing the shelves in Giant hypermarket when I saw the German Brie cheese on the shelf. Excitedly, I motioned by bf over to take a look at it.
He just chuckled at me. Well, I told him, I was tempted to buy the brie cheese for my MH-addict friend. Unfortunately, he is in another country so I couldn’t send this surprise to him.
Plus, I found out that cheese is not a vegetarian food. This friend of mine is a vegetarian and he told me he could not eat cheese because of the content which is part of a calf. ??
Puzzled, I decided to google about it.
In fact, sometime back, I remember a friend looking for vegetarian tomato sauce. I was puzzled.
“Isn’t tomato a vegetable?” I thought. My friend further explained that some tomato sauce has garlic or onion as its ingredient. They are not allowed to eat garlic or onion.
Conclusion, CP is only allowed to have virtual brie to catch mouse and not RL (real life) cheese of any sort. :p
As a child, I love watching the contestants figure what to draw on the white paper with marker to explain the meaning of the words. Then their team members have to figure out in time what the person is drawing. It is hilarious to watch how “kan cheong” or feeling a sense of suspense from the contestants to find out the answer given.
In fact, I also like the game charades which uses your body language to convey the meaning of the word. These both games show how one uses his/her creativity within the short time frame to convey a message to another person without words.
I noticed Facebook has a game which is similar to “Win, lose or draw”. The application is called "Guest The Sketch Challenge" whereby about 10 online players can guess what is being drawn with one of them drawing it (take turns to draw randomly). There is a time limit too and when a person has guessed correctly, the time is shortened. What annoys me and spoil the game for me is the fact that sore losers who don’t use their creativity. They just literally write the words out. The most we could do is “kick” the person out (3 kicks from 3 different players). However, I noticed some group don’t because their main purpose is to get a high score.
Some, out of anger, will swear or draw indecent images. Hence, I name that application as “Win, Lose or Swear”. Just try out the application for some time and sooner or later, you’ll meet with these sore losers who spoil the game.

I mentioned previously in another blog entry, I’m playing an online game called Legend of the Golden Plume(LGP) with my fellow friends in Singapore (AC and CP).
It started out as a bait to lure CP to play it instead of Mousehunt(MH). When he saw me playing and proceeding to higher level than him, he started focusing on this game to catch up with me.
After a week, it worked, AC and I laughed at how we got CP to be hooked to LGP. But he is still playing MH at the same time. See how cute the "monsters" we are supposed to kill look like! Second week came; I played after work (since it required installation of a programme). Then I knew I was hooked when in the middle of the 3rd week, my internet connection was out. I was frustrated at not being able to go online. I even played the few minutes in between whenever the connection was available. My character died whenever my line got disconnected!
I guess competitiveness does lure the person into doing something.
Now those two guys are laughing at me since they claim they have advanced to level 45-50; leaving me behind at level 38. Arghh.. should I try to catch up or go cold turkey? Stop playing altogether… hmmm….
8 Sept 2008 My friends quit playing LPG. So did I.. I only managed to play for 3 weeks and they got bored. Oh well, now I'm back to RL (real life)... haha
Oh no, first it was Facebook. Then, Mousehunt in Facebook.
Now the ultimate addiction is here for me. I have started playing online games!! Argghh!!
Well, this is my second night playing it. What has gotten my attention?
"Legend of Golden Plume is a cartoon-style real time fantasy MMORPG where you will find a wonderland - all of your friends, NPC, monsters are very cute! You can change your appearance easily; even disguise yourself to a pet, jumping here and there in the street to attract a lot of attentions!" Pets like the bobi is shown below. My bf set up the account for me with a typical image for a simple character (the swordsman) and a silly name. If it were me, I would have chose a cute little female mage. But I'm not going to create another character. Below is my character and my pet. Swordsman cannot throw fireball from afar!! He has to go hand-in-hand battle which increases his injuries and making him slow in battling. My team members just throw fireballs at the monsters!! The "monsters" are cute adorable creatures which you can catch and make it into your allied pets to battle with you. Sigh.. well, more updates as I progress in the game. Last night I managed to reach Level 19. Tonight, I only managed to reach Level 20 but I met two new team members!
In the meantime, AC (male) you recommended this game and yet I have not seen you online to teach me how to play!! Thankfully I met some new "friends" just now who I could go battling together.... :) Till then, signing off...
I used to go online just to check e-mail, surf information, instant messaging with friends and sometimes keep updated on friends through Friendster. Then out of the sudden, I decided to accept my friend's invite to register for Facebook. Now I'm practically online most of the time.
Facebook... This social networking website was created in 2004 and is now the hottest website online. But this entry is not about Facebook, it's about Mousehunt. It is one of the many many applications found in Facebook, from arcade games to basically photos shared among friends.
Mousehunt! Have you tried this game? If you did, you'll be worrying if you have left enough cheese to trap the mice. My friends and I are totally hooked on Mousehunt.
What is Mousehunt?
"MouseHunt has you in the role of a MouseHunter in the town of Gnawnia. The town has become overrun with some interesting, yet powerful breeds of mice.
With crops being eaten and property destroyed the King sought out to employ brave MouseHunters; Promising handsome rewards for captures in an effort to defeat a seemingly endless army of mice.
Players enter the kingdom as a novice hunter and start with a fairly basic trap. As a player catches mice and and accumulates gold and points they are able to purchase new components for their trap, increasing their odds of catching mice.
MouseHunt is a passive game, meaning a player decides and puts forth a strategy then waits for the results. The fun of the game is returning to check on your trap and determining new strategies and how to improve." Why is it addictive?
Compared to the others, Mousehunt does not have a limitation of numbers in a day but instead, you can check on your mousetrap every 15 minutes to see if you have caught any mouse. That is one of the reason why it is so addictive.
The excitement of catching one of the rare mice somehow enthralls us. The scarce mice like the Zombie mouse rewards 2700 gold pieces (varies according to the weight) while the elusive Leprechaun Mouse which has only be caught 5 times, rewards a real prize. The normal white mouse has been caught 2,357,181 times with only 100 gold pieces reward.
Feels like a lucky draw based on luck? Oh well, but the excitement is there in catching a higher rewarded mice. I finally caught a diamond mouse and a zombie mouse! Yippee!! ;)
If not, why on earth would my friend be playing Mousehunt from his office to his house and even in his sleep!! (leaving his pc on and using a special application... I can't reveal his secret here!!) He started Mousehunt a week after me and easily more than doubled my points now. Go figure...
In the meantime, I slowly collect more gold pieces to buy a better trap and try the different cheese available as a bait... :)
When I was young, visiting Toys'R Us was a big thing. The toys all lined up the shelves neatly and I was awed by the numerous choices there was. Now, I find the magic gone but somehow, certain toys still managed to capture my inner child.
Before computer became so common place, my friends and I played the board games. After our exams, we had free time and so out came all the board games from: typical snake and ladder, checkers, chess, cards, to the more sophisicated games: monopoly, cluedo and the ever popular uno! I wonder what kids these days play during their free time in school. PSP? Nintendo? We only had tetris then but board and card games were a whole lot more fun!
Looking through the shelves in Toys'R Us, I saw some of these games' attempt to diversify their products. For example, Uno card has Uno stacko or various versions. My favourite game, Monopoly now has a local version-Malaysia version, Disney version and Now-and-then version (with updates places and more recent cost of properties)! There's also a girl's Monopoly version in a pretty little pink clothed box with pink dainty cards.
I don't like playing the computer version of Monopoly. I can't feel the roll of dice, shuffling of money, anticipation of opening the cards and also feeling the characters you get to choose to represent you when you move them! I usually choose the terrier!! :) This reminds me... I still want a dog!!
I used to play this game on this 'green 30cm X 20cm X 20cm box' with black screen and green images. It's a portable game like tetris but this one was bigger and bulkier. When I see this game. it makes me reminiscence of those days when I was young.
It takes patience as you bring the frog safely across the street. These days, I still get impatient trying to win this game. Try it! :)
