Christmas Tree story

My friend, Alina, shared a story of hers about a little Christmas tree and how it brought everyone together. I thought it'll be nice to share and remember this by.

My two friends, A &C, who were working together stumbled upon a little plastic Christmas tree at a bargain. It was about not more than 3 feet height and at an unbelievable price. (hint - maybe the price of a simple mixed meal). RM4.90. Seriously.

They decided to buy it and put it in a corner in the office. In fact, they didn't think about buying decorations yet. One of their colleague dropped by and offered to lend some Christmas decorations. So the tree became slightly lively.

Another colleague offered to buy Christmas lights to decorate the tree.

Then slowly one by one... the little Christmas tree became alive with lovely decorations and lights to bring cheer to dreary offices we usually work in. ;) My friends happily laughed at the fact that their decorations cost more than the Christmas tree and it was sponsored by their colleagues.

That was about 5-6 years ago? Lol maybe I should get precise info from the owners of this story.

Not to sure if they put up the tree yearly in their house during these past few years but when they moved out of their house, it was left in storage over at another friend's place.

Till Alina decided to tell her friend to use it and she wasn't even sure if the decoration items were there. In the end, this is how that Christmas tree looked like this year. It was carefully decorate and even perched up higher on another box with the lights wrapping it all the way to the floor.

So the little Christmas tree continues to bring life and joy to others... till next year.. ;)

Post Christmas

Another Christmas passed by....

As usual, everyone thinks Christmas is about the joy of giving, eating and having fun together.
As a festive season, that is very true.
But "technically", it's a time to remember our Lord Jesus Christ too and be thankful for all His favours upon us.

This year, I was co-hosting a mini BBQ and ended up dog-sitting most of the time while neglecting some of my guests. Lol. Will upload some pictures of the food as I didn't take much pictures then.

Like all "parties", there will be an over supply of food and we ended up eating chicken wings for few meals after. The chocolate cake I got from Cold Storage was only eaten about a quarter. Candy canes I bought for kids were untouched and now distributed to colleagues in the office.

Presents still lay untouched and the Christmas tree still blinks happily in the living room. I dropped by a shopping mall yesterday and heard Chinese New Year songs all over...

How is your post Christmas?

Meanwhile, what is you New Year resolution and plans? Usually I avoid New Year celebrations like a plague because I am fearful of congestion and traffic (vehicles and humans alike). I wonder, should I dare to take the risk this year? Hmphh..

p.s. Will share a food review for Christmas dinner instead... it was simple, delicious and most importantly, no gluttony from overeating! ;)

Google: Let it Snow

OMG... this is so cute.. look what Google came out with this time.

Go to your browser and open google search.
Type in "Let it snow".

Then your screen will start snowing and fogs up your screen. You can draw over it like on a fogged up window. Then click defrost to make it back to normal.

Kudos to Google for a white Christmas mood! ;) Enjoy! Keep those creative ideas coming. I always love looking at your Google Doodle!

I drew a smile face here... lol!
